John and Frances Canning have the photos to prove it.  They had planned their wedding for the Manchester Town Hall in northern England for March 23.  On learning that Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Phillip, would be nearby, the bride-to-be sent an invitation on a whim to Buckingham Palace inviting the queen plus a guest to attend the party.  The queen politely declined, but then told her office to plan a surprise for the newlyweds.  Then the royal couple showed up as unexpected guests and stayed long enough to be in the wedding photos.  “She said I looked lovely and she wanted to wish us all the best for the future,” Frances Canning told The Sun. WORK DAY – MAY 5          

CHRISTIAN ENCOUNTER RANCH WORKDAY IS THIS SATURDAY, MAY 5.

WE WILL MEET AT THE CHURCH AT 06:30 AM SATURDAY MORNING TO CARAVAN TO THE RANCH.

THINGS TO BRING:

  1. GLOVES, LONG SLEEVE SHIRT, HAT/CAP, SUNSCREEN
  2. EDGER, CHAIN SAW
  3. PAINT BRUSH, ROLLER

IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE ITEMS AND CAN OPERATE THEM SAFELY, PLEASE BRING TO ASSIST US IN SPRUCING UP THE RANCH.

ATTENTION ALL WOMEN!

SUE IS IN THE PROCESS OF ORGANIZING A GROUP OF WOMEN WHO WILL SEW DRESSES AND SHORTS. THE FINISHED PRODUCT WILL THEN BE SENT TO CHILDREN IN AFRICA.

IN ADDITION – SUE IS BEGINNING A SEWING CLASS AT THE CHURCH FOR CHILDREN. IF YOU, OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW, IS INTERESTED, PLEASE CONTACT THE CHURCH FOR MORE INFORMATION. (530 865-4262)
